Is it under “mental illness” since it has to do with the brain. I had one and was just wondering. Is it a disability?

Most patients with traumatic brain injury have different degrees of mental impairment, namely becoming dull. It is mainly manifested as: unable to understand others’ words, irrelevant answer, can’t distinguish beauty and ugliness as well as good and evil , memory loss, don’t know how to use everyday items, deterioration of IQ behavior, abstract thinking loss and confusion and so on.

Stem cell can has been used in treating traumatic brain injury syndrome for several years. What aspects stem cell transplantation mainly improves for patients with traumatic brain injury?

1. Limbs movements
Limbs movements of patients with traumatic brain injury are affected more or less. They may have hemiplegia, even pamplegia. After taking stem cell transplantation, the obvious improvement contains: limbs stiff relieved, flexible activities, increased hand fine activity, standing and walking steadily and longer, and increased limbs strength.
2. Mood and intelligence
The ability of understanding, reaction, memory and calculation is improved after stem cell transplantation. Self-care ability increases and choleric temperament alters. Patients can communicate with people actively and express themselves correctly.
3. Speech function
Loud voice, clear pronounce, and more words and communication.
4. Vision improvement
Improve vision and visual field deficit.
