Broken Tibia Help?!?

Question by Ace: Broken Tibia help?!?
I’m 14 years old and I broke my tibia about 12 weeks ago playing football.
I was a good break meaning no rods, plates or, screws. I had a long cast over my knee,7 weeks after i got a shorter walking cast but i didn’t really put a lot of weight on it. i just got it off 5 days ago.

When I put weight on it it hurts the bottom of my heal real bad. I also cant bend my ankle without it hurting. I’m walking with crutches.
“The orthopedic doctor said i shouldn’t need .”
I really want to walk without crutches.

How long is is going to take to heal so that i cant at least walk unassisted?
Any stories of how you started walking again?
PLEASE HELP
Thanks

your cast maybe put on wrong at the heel. that or your foot lost most of its muscals and now you need to build them up again. my sister broke her leg in 3 different spots and that is what she had to do

good luck

Be patient, bones take time to heal. If you’ve not been walking for a while (be laid up with leg in cast) then yes it will take time for you to get back to walking. do some excises while you’re sitting to straighten your muscles in your legs. But be patient give your bones time to heal.

Good Luck
