Elizabeth Taylor, the Hollywood legend actress, a philanthropist and one of the most beautiful women in the world, passed away due to congestive at the age of 79 on March 23. The falling of the greatest Hollywood star of the 20th century leaves speechless in millions of people. Elizabeth Taylor was born in Hampstead, London in 1932 to art dealer Francis Taylor and actress Sara. It was believed that her iconic beauty was inspired from her father. Her stardom was quickly recognized in entertainment industry. At the age of 9, she shot her first movie “There’s One Born Every Minute” but only shined by her leading role in “Cleopatra”.

At the age of 9, Taylor appeared in the comedy “There’s One Born Every Minute” – her first movie. A year later, she played a leading role in “National Velvet”.

Taylor married Conrad “Nicky” Hilton Jr. in Beverly Hills when she was just 18. The marriage was over in less than a year due to Hilton’s drinking and abusive behavior.

Michael Wilding was Liz Taylor’s second hubby. The couple met on the setting of movie “Ivanhoe”

Taylor married for the third time with movie producer Mike Todd in 1977. However, her happiness was short-lived because a plane crash killed Mike Todd on March 22, 1958.

After Todd’s death, Taylor played on the screen of “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” which earned her an Oscar nomination.

Taylor was the mother of four children: Michael and Christopher Wilding from the wedding with Michael Wilding, Liza Todd and an adopted Maria Burton with Richard Burton

Taylor started a scandalous affair with Eddie Fisher after Mike Todd’s death. Taylor and Eddie got married in 1959.

Taylor met Welsh actor Richard Burton in the set of the 1963 film “Cleopatra”. The couple’s romance was the hot topic of tabloids for a long time. Finally, she married Richard nine days after divorcing Eddie Fisher in March 1964.

The leading role in “Cleopatra” made Taylor be the first actress with history-making payment ($ 1 million).

Taylor later married to Senator John Warner in 1976. However, their marriage was unhappy which led Taylor into bad living habit. She went to more than 180 lbs and abused alcohol and prescription pills.

Taylor was slimmer when she received the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award at the Academy Awards.

Taylor and Michael Jackson had a close relationship. Taylor even wrote “We both had horrible childhoods. Working at the age of 9 was not a childhood for me – and he started at 3”

Taylor received her second-highest civilian honor in the nation – the Presidential Citizen’s Medal from President Clinton in 2001.

In 2005, Taylor won the British Academy of Film and Television Arts’ award. The award goes for artistic excellence. At that time, she was confined in a wheelchair following two hip replacements.
