Kate Moss Drug Abuse: Kate-Middleton

Kate-Middleton

As we all know Kate-Middleton will be married, soon, to HRH Prince William. People have asked me how I come up with the inspiration to paint Royal portraits. Disney coloring books as I have mentioned previously, have played a big part in my artistic education. Royalty can be visualized easily by me; I simply look at picture or think about Cinderella’s Castle in the Magic Kingdom, Orlando, Florida.

Those thought processes gave me the inspiration I require to create pieces of art. Creating life like work is also demanding portraits must be as near as possible to photographic quality, if not the Realist Painter has not succeeded in their task.

I am quite sure that other Artists whether they work in the performing Arts or write fictional books, or make entertaining movies go through a similar process when considering producing products related to their work.

An interesting email arrived from one of my readers a few days ago. This person works in marketing and branding for a large International company. She was very interested in reading about my thought process when making Art.

Business as she pointed out is not all about money and wealth, money flow is of course the life blood that keeps the capitalist economic model rolling along. Business and products provide solutions to problems, publishing limited edition art has the benefit of rarity, they may rise in value, pictures speak thousands of words, they are decorative, and they prompt conversation.

Prints are cheaper than original works, they give many people pleasure, and they lift the soul when you are feeling down.

This list is endless really.

When I thought about Cinderella and Disney and their long list of characters including a Princess, I imagined Princess Diana. The theme here is Princess; Diana became my inspiration for my Princess Portrait. Cinderella’s castle looks very much like the large magical house where a Princess would live.

Your imagination can take you where ever you want to go, but remember if you leave it as a thought, you become academic.

Prince William then became my Prince living in Cinderella’s castle, there are no boundaries to your imagination try it and see how you can connect tangible items or people to fairy tales or mythical figures. Walt Disney World, my experiences gained from traveling there became the inspiration to help you, enjoy your holiday in Orlando.

The outcome of being inspired by Walt Disney World, this website!

My portrait featuring the Queen Mother was just another connection in the Royal line of imagination, I saw the Queen Mum as the fairy godmother, depicted in many Disney films. Artists are inspired by all sorts of mythological stories; they turn them into tangible works of art.

Realism comes from wanting to capture subjects as near to photographic quality, realists search for perfection, of course perfection is very difficult to achieve, however that is the goal I have and to get as near to it as possible gives me the satisfaction that I seek in my work.

Kate-Middleton may provide the inspiration for another work featuring a Prince and his Princess, or maybe I’ll combine a King and Queen Theme, you just never know where your ideal portrait will come from.

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, which completes my Royal portrait theme to date, was a natural progression through the inspirational imaginative process, one again I looked to Disney and came up with my subject by linking it to Disney stories.

The Queen in the Snow White’s Disney film came across as a very jealous individual who was looking for revenge when she discovered that she was not the fairest of them all. Imagination gives you the artistic license to create and alter works in oil; I looked at our Queen Elizabeth and decide she should be painted in a nice kindly gesture, a pose that comes across as someone with a pleasant caring personality and that same time providing strength and leadership, which is why I painted Queen Elizabeth with a kind smile wearing regalia which denotes someone with leadership.

Kate Middleton may provide inspiration for an Oil portrait, I will just have to apply my imagination and from that inspiration will surely flow, Disney Imagineers are constantly coming up with new more exciting attractions for their visitors to Disney World, and I will follow their time honored example and apply some of their magic to my thought process.

Each one of my prints, carry the Fine Art Trade Guild logo, I’m a member of this prestigious organization here in the U.K., and each print is created by hand, by an expert Giclee printer. The Guild logo together with the International copyright symbol is stamped onto the bottom of my prints which ensures that the buyer is purchasing something of real quality.
