One of the things that has been really rewarding for me about running the creative writing groups is seeing client who may have a difficulty finding their voice or expressing what it is they have been through and what their going through at that moment. To be able to do so through their writing and this creative outlet. I try to focus the stuff we do in a kind of creative non fiction writing genre. That really is just them writing about their experience through poetry, short stories, and fiction. Allowing them the opportunity to take an honest look at their past and how to present it in away that’s creative its easier for them to do so. They are willing to be vulnerable because its not just them talking about what they have been through, but its them presenting it in this way that encourages their artistic side. Recovery Associates of the Palm Beaches is a drug and alcohol treatment center with locations in West Palm Beach and Lake Worth, Florida.
