Underage Alcohol Abuse Statistics Almost 50% of people aged 12 and over have consumed alcohol in the United States. Around 2000 people that are under the age of 21 die each year in a motor vehicle accident because of underage drinking. Violence Related Alcohol Abuse Statistics Nearly half of those who commit murder in Scotland — whose drink status is known — were drunk at the time of the offense. 600000 students and more (ages 18-24) have been assaulted by one who has been drinking. Statistics on Alcohol Abuse Recovery 5-6% of alcoholics recover through proper rehabilitation.
