What Type of Medication Can a Psychiatrist Prescribe for Someone Who Has Clinical Depression?

Question by adam: what type of medication can a psychiatrist prescribe for someone who has clinical depression?
resulting from grief and not being able to move forward in life after a loved one dies???? if so, what and how can these medications help someone deal with clinical depression??? can these medications “cure” someone or simply lessen their symptoms???? can a doctor or someone who knows about mental health tell me what’s the most psychiatrists can do for someone with clinical depression assuming that is the case? thank you.

they usually start with a Prozac type med as these often help a lot, tell us more

Depression cannot be cured. Antidepressants get you into remission.
