Exploring the Cost of Rehab

Exploring the Cost of Rehab – Some people hesitate to pursue a residential alcohol or drug treatment program because of the potential expense. In this video, guests and counselors from Duffy’s explore the cost of rehab in relation to their life. Jim: When I came into Duffy’s, I had pretty much given up hope on life. Andrew: Before I walked through the doors here, I didn’t have a day of sobriety over in ten years. Nick: For fifty-two years of my life, I tried arranging every possible thing that I could outside of myself in that search for serenity. Andrew: I basically researched every place I had to stay in the state of California, narrowed some things down by what was affordable and what wasn’t, and, to be honest, this was the first and only place that I toured. When I walked through the door and took that tour, I just knew that this was the place to be. Jen: One of the things that I hear from people who are coming in for treatment for seven days is, “I don’t have time. I only have a week off work.” And what I say to them is, “This is your life we’re talking about.” Nick: I can honestly say that Duffy’s saved my life. Jim: This place changed my life. Andrew: It saved my life, and the people who came through and helped pay for it for me wanted to see me live. And that’s something that you can’t really put a price on, is being able to live.
