What Is the Difference Between “Consistent” and “Constant”?

Question by ESL Student: What is the difference between “Consistent” and “Constant”?
The previous examples confused me a little. Like is it the same to say “He consistently drinks alcohol” and “He constantly drinks alcohol?”

Thanks for your help!
bjk: Do you mean that whenever we go out to a bar for example he will order an Alcohol?
Because that what (s)he usually drink?

Am I getting the meaning right?

“consistent” means “without change or variation”, while “constant” means “without stopping”

Gonna be a bit hyperbolic, but:

Consistently means when he drinks, he drinks alcohol. He may not drink for hours or days.

Constantly means he drinks alcohol all the time. He drinks ever second, minute, hour etc.
